This brain–computer interface, created in response to “grab them by the pussy,” steers live sperm across a microscope slide with an electric field.

In an artwork by Anne Liu, a consumer EEG headset measures the wearer’s attention to control a custom circuit built onto a glass microscope slide. The resulting electric field steers live spermatozoa through galvanotaxis according to the wearer’s focus.
The piece was created in direct response to Trump’s remark about grabbing women, using the URL pussygrabsback. It has been exhibited at Mana Contemporary, the Boston Center for the Arts, and MU Hybrid Arthouse.
