A live-action role-playing game modeled on a startup, in which players pursue secret win conditions against two company metrics while a game master narrates the outcome.
A tabletop role-playing game about a startup, designed with Andrew Cedotal under the working title Startups and Dragons. Each player takes a role at the company and receives a card with a private victory condition. No two players share an objective, so the company’s fate is an indirect result of their competing decisions. The startup’s performance is measured by two key performance indicators, and a game master improvises the outcome from those metrics.
Two scenarios exist, inflatable cutlery and smart cookware, along with a deck of venture firms including Cookie Cutter Capital and Vaporware Ventures, laid out from a spreadsheet. The game was playtested in San Francisco in June 2019.
